I was watching a documentry by the BBC and got very invaluable information. When Gandhiji and other Indian leaders were fighting for the freedom, they were not fighting for the freedom from the Britishraj only but also from the all social problem existing in India.
We got the freedom from the Britishraj and many things changed. Country progressed to become one of the world's power from a pauper. But if we see, we have not quite achieved the second dream which our leadres dreamt for our country and our people. Seventy percent of the population is still way behind the race of new India and are grossly underprivileged.
Whoes responsibility is it to secure the second dream? Is not it our responsibility to search for and create new Gandhis and Nehrus within ourselves to free our own country from all the inequalities and misfortunes?
It is the time when Indian businessman, politicians and civilians should understand their ethical responsibilities. If nothing is done to bring seventy percent Bharat to the same direction as the thirty percent India, we will have a very huge imbalance in our country. That imbalance and its consequences are certainly not somethings we wish to see in the future.
Along with the celebration of our success, we should concentrate on the core problems and work on it. The responsibility to do so should be shared among all Indians.
I therefore, request to my fellow Indians to take the oath to make a difference in the society. I see education as the long term cure of Bharat's problems, so we should take the oath to try hard to participate in educating underprivileged Bharat direclty or indorectly.
